What 3 things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years?
Wow, I like this question very much.
1. Cars. Oil prices are sky-high, roads are just clogged as a public toilet, toxic fumes will kill once you get out of your house without wearing your gas mask, and car manufacturers have run out of money and employees due to mismanagement and budget deficit.
alternative: Calesa and Bisikleta
2. iPod. Because Steve Jobs said so, and marketing dept of Apple are just so awesome, we'd go loco for the next craze.
The iPhonograph.
3. Paper. Demmit, with the rate the human race consumes everything in its pace, we'd be running out of things to write on. Imagine a world without POST-ITS?! aaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhh!!
Note: This will all happen if we survive 2012, and we prevent the extinction of man's intelligence. On other news, im back to bed.
picking nose in public? or itching butthole?
you can pick your nose in public by hiding your nose and finger with a hanky.. i dont think you could do the same with an itching butthole.
(but why does the butthole itch at the first place? id rather not answer that then)

What makes a nurse smile?
I know, I shouldn't have posted my just-got-out-of-bed face here, and show my messed up self to the blog world, but that's another story altogether. And get ready to be bored, because there's not much fun or naughty in this post. ;)
The thing that I'm holding in the picture is a greeting card. You see, what I've learned here in England, I've observed that people here still use greeting cards profusely. They would send out a card for any wee bit of something, whether it's a big celebration, or just a simple "hello."
Well, this card was from an elderly patient that was discharged from the ward, a lola.
She was a very lively, and warm lady, and one of the most calm patients I've met, even in moments of excruciating pain. (I couldn't imagine myself having a major surgery and be happy at the same time!)
Before she was sent home, I noticed her scribbling notes on a piece of paper. She said she was writing down the names of the staff, and with her age (90 +), it's amazing for her to keep a good memory.
Then at least a month after that, I received this. She managed to write my name 1/2 right. Why? Instead of my surname "Decena" written, it is "deCenenta (?)".
Yes, including the question mark, which i find amusing and touching because she might have been looking at my I.D. everytime I approached her.
And in the card, she wrote : " Thank you very much for your help & kindness! Kindest Regards,"
Barely over 10 words. It might not be the most personal note I've read. It might not be worth of telling the world. This won't make the town newspaper.
But you see, for a Filipino nurse like me, working day and night like a dog here in the UK (can't help not to quote the Beatles there), the simplest thanks would make me feel that I'm doing alright.
Yes, I do work for the compensation.
But getting "thank you's" from the randomest people who sincerely say their thoughts on the simplest of things, makes a nurse smile.
Too bad it doesn't have return address, but through this, I would like to say my deepest appreciation and will make sure to be the best nurse that I can be, day in, and day out.
My point is, there are things that are simply priceless. Have a good day everyone. :)
At a moment's notice, you were given the chance to step into a TALENT DUPLICATOR MACHINE,which could duplicate any person's talent and make it yours for life. What talent would you pick and whose(maybe not a name, you can just say ur relation to him/her)?
Pwede bang mga superhero ang iduplicate? kunwari si Invisible Man, para maging....ugh, invisible!
Or si Professor X, para i could read minds, hehehe...
Sige na nga, si Michael Jackson na lang. Sino bang may ayaw ng talent nya? "AAAAAAAAAAAAW!"
