At akalain mong sabi ng Santo Papa, hala sige, gamit na ng condom.

Big deal bigla. Dahil salungat nga naman sa turo ng Simbahan yung payong kaibigan ng Santo Papa.
Sabi naman ng Papa, eh basta ba para makaiwas sa sakit na AIDS maski na sabi ng Simbahan e imoral ito.

Tingin ko, nagiging "malinaw" na ang pananaw at isip ni Papa na hindi mga robot at makina ang mga tao pagdating sa pakikipagrelasyon.
Basta ang alam ko, hindi basta naiiwasan ang AIDS sa pagdarasal.
At kung may proteksyon naman na magagamit laban sa isang sakit, tingin ko di yun imoral kundi pagiging responsable.

It's not new for me to handle people in the hospital who are aged 80+, 90+ years old. Despite their age, they're fairly strong and independent even in sickness. I really admire the old folks here in UK, particularly in England. Reminds me of my old folks back in the Philippines. I remember my late Lola Ampa, bless her, when she was having fun with her great grandchildren at 94+, enjoying the videoke party, and sipping some Bailey's!

Meeting a hundred year-old isn't that common nowadays. But I'm lucky to meet a handful of them in our ward alone. (Well, hello 1st-worlders) <--Is that even a word? They're really great to talk to, with all their fun stories and rich experiences. Imagine, I've just lived a 1/4 of their lifetime!

*The Secret*

Then I met M, a 100 year old woman. She was very kind and lovely to chat with. And she's got a better memory than mine, recalling tons of stuff since her early teens!

So I asked her: "Tell me, what's the secret to reach a 100 years old?"


And I would not forget her answer: " A lot of people have been asking me that. And all I say is this: Good Food, and Good Parents. If not for them taking care of me, I would not reach 100 years old." as she smiled nicely.


I wasn't expecting that answer at all. And I guess, that would be the greatest answer for a long life.

Naisip ko muna maging abugado, engineer, architect, journalist, etc. Naging nars ako kasi ayoko ng typical office work, at gusto ko eh science related. At feeling ko lang eh people-skills ang strength ko. Taray!
Dahil na rin nag nars ang ate ko, gayagayaputomaya ako. Mahal din ang magdoktor (at kelangang maging uber talino mo dun), so nag narsing ako.

Di rin ako sigurado sa detalye, pero basta parang tumutunog daw ata yung mech vent, nakita nung pinay, then tinry magpindot2, hanggang sa nag off na ata yung vent. which lead to a patient's paralysis, not necessarily death. buti eh nakita sa videocam yung act.
im not sure sa result o state ng kaso so far.

pero ang masasabi ko lang eh, first, when in doubt, ask. Mabuti nang magmukhang tanga at magtanong ng magtanong, kesa naman sa magmarunong at magkamali.

Do I have a girlfriend?

There was a female lady, that has trouble with remembering details. Think of the movie the 50 First Dates. Though this time, it doesn't take 24 hours for her memory to "reset". This elderly lady simply can't recall recent things (as of the moment.) Each time I talk to her, she'd ask: "Do you have a girlfriend?" And each time I answer with "Yes", she'd respond with: "Oh, she must be nice!"

Until the 4th  time, I realised she can't recall anything I said, so here it went:

Lola: "Do you have a girlfriend?"
me: "Yes. Why'd you ask?"
Lola: "Well, I could tell from you, I think she's nice. And you are nice too!"
me: "Oh, thanks!"

I can't call myself a blogger nowadays. That title belongs to someone who really dedicates time and effort to "mingle & socialize" through the internet and weblogs with others of the same passion. I guess that "passion for blogging" was limited and decreased due to a gruelling work schedule. Or perhaps, it was the homesickness? Perhaps, another of my long list of excuses.

Look, I admit that there came a time wherein I felt obliged to blog for someone, or for an audience. It wasn't my initial purpose. I remembered I don't blog for anyone, but I blog to express. Slowly, I'll try to retrace my steps to blogging again. (Erratum, I won't try, I WILL retrace my steps to blogging.)

Hey, this may be sounding like a ton of cornish cheeseball in the making, or perhaps an emo song playing in the background. But NO, this isn't.

There was also a point in time where I was soo addicted to blogging that I rarely paid attention to my real-life friends. I guess I realized it was becoming awful, that I distanced myself from you. There. I guess I found the answer.

Now that I'm literally thousands of miles away from home, I need you now. I need to express. I need to talk to my manikmakina. I need distraction. I need sanity. I need my flair, I need my blog mojo back.

So apply lang ako, libre naman at walang joining fee. lol. After makapasa ng interview, mahaba-habang proseso ng mga papeles ang iginugol ko. Nagpakundisyon ako ng katawan. (me laban?!). Oo, totoo. Kelangan yun dahil ubod ng stress ang inabot ko nuon habang nagtatrabaho, tapos nagreready magresign, tapos aalis pa ng bansa ng mahabang panahon. whew!

Anyway, nagresearch din ako ng mga bagay2 sa pupuntahan ko, culture, weather, people, lifestyle. At syempre about dun sa pupuntuhan ko. Ayun, oks naman.

Alam kong walang kwenta at di ata ako nakatulong sa tanong mo, pero ang ibig ko lang sabihin eh, depende ang mga gagawin mo sa agency/employer na makukuha mo.
