Hello Old Mobile Phone, Where To?

3 rants/raves (aka comments)
Reactions:
Earlier this morning, I woke and checked the time on my x-year old mobile phone. And I knew, it was time for the hit TV show Glee’s 2nd season premiere. (I know, I admit that I’m a gleek!) I was more interested watching it because a fellow Filipino is on the show: singer Charice.

Charice (Well, if you haven’t heard of her, get a life! or rather, check her on youtube.)

Her scene with Rachel Berry singing Lady Gaga+Beyonce’s “Telephone” on a washroom is just awesome!
(I’m not a biased fan!)

Then it just hit me, “I think I need to replace my old mobile phone”.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an impulsive buyer who calls for the next 5 minutes each time they see this weird gadget on sale shown on shop TV channels.
The line “And wait, there’s more” just don’t thrill me.

I can’t recall how many times I changed my mobile phone. And most of us just let those old phones lying around in the dirty corners of our rooms. Why? Because most of us think that we won’t get much value for our once loved phones. But, when was the last time you REALLY checked for its REAL value?

Maybe you’re thinking, “Some cash for mobiles like mine? Seriously? I’d get some pocket change for it!” Personally, recycling it is a lot better than just leaving your old phone to accumulate dust and whatnots. Just give your phone details, and you can get started.

Recycling your old mobile phone is as simple as recycling your rubbish in the recyclable bin. The big difference? : You get some cash in return to buy that new savvy phone on sale.

Repeat after me: I must cash my phone. Now.

Dialogues sa Ukay

Yep.

Reigun: Hello! Good day, how are you?
Patient/Patient's Relative: I'm alright. Where are you from?
Reigun: From the Philippines. (sabay ngiting dogstyle na nagsusumigaw ng "MABUHAY!")
Patient/Relative: Oh, is that right? You sound like an American.  The way you talk.
Reigun:  Oh, thanks. (Pahumble na, pacute pa amp) Well, I guess because we were exposed to American culture, and our education is patterned after their system. So, yeah. (Buhol-buhol na dila ko nito.)
Patient/Relative: oooh.

Somewhere in London, along the Thames River.
This sign belongs to a "Bird Watcher" selling some binoculars.
He's got a nice bird, too.

Dreamt of running away from a movie villain?

Ever dreamt of running away from a movie villain?

Yes, it's pretty common especially of you've just watched an awesome film before you sleep. Or day-dreamt of something related to it before going to bed.

Anyway highway, here's my dream last night. (Time now is 9:30 A.M., just for orientation, hehe)

Dream:

I was back home in Quezon City, Philippines. I could easily recognize our blue metal gates, with a street-gang graffiti on the exterior.

I was well inside the house, secured by the light-metallic door, and I was standing on the marble stone flooring.

But, I was obviously feeling exhausted. Apparently, I was running away from something, from someone.

Then the scene shifted as if on a film, and I saw a glimpse of my antagonist. HE was like a black cloud. And he was slowly gaining form, figure, and a face. A familiar face!

OMG, it was DARTH fuckin VADER!!!!

Funko Darth Vader Bobble - Head"What on earth am I going to do with Darth Vader? I'm no Jedi! I have no space gear or something! Where art thou Chewbacca?!" Those were the thoughts racing my mind at the time.

But he was fast. Oh, he was damn quick. He's Darth fuckin Vader!

Shifting back at home, I am Jedi Power-less. This is a lost fight. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, came to the rescue.

A dog! Yes, just what I need versus DARTH fuckin VADER!

Oh wait, it was my sister's dead dog. A cross bred white Pomeranian-Spitz named Chloe. And she was just staring at the gates, waiting for my doom.

---- The End ----

There, I've just wasted 3-5 minutes of your precious time.

But to make something out of this, I've tried to interpret my dream. Just to make sense out of this shit.

www.dreammoods.com

So I failed to search anything with Darth fuckin Vader. But somehow I managed to do with these stuffs:

Chase

"To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is a metaphor for some form of insecurity... Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear."

Dog

"To see a dog in your dream, symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exhibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream, indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten...If the dog is dead or dying, then it means a loss of a good friend or a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog".

Home

"To see your home in your dream, signifies security, basic needs, and values. You may be feeling at "home" or settled at your new job or environment. Alternatively, the dream represents your basic needs and priorities."

=======================

Now, if that does make sense, I'm not really sure. But it does make more sense than DARTH fuckin VADER versus a dead Spitz.

I realized before I slept, I was watching videos of the movie Hachiko. Heart-wrenching!

On Chelmsford, fishballs, and John Lloyd

2 rants/raves (aka comments)

"Chelmsford is the county town of Essex, England, and the principal settlement of the borough of Chelmsford. It is located in the London commuter belt." -Wikipedia

(Di na pwede ang Carabao English, you know?)

=======================

(Minus the cutting classes at Kodigo!)
6.) Maganda ang library nila. (Maraming PC at libre wifi, ergo Facebook.lol)
7.) Masarap mamasyal sa town centre ng Chelmsford. Brick road. Old buildings. Semi-laidback pace. Plus the SALE. lavet!

Mahirap mang walang traffic kang kakasalubungin.

(Naks! Define Self-confidence.)

Pero tunay yan. Yan ang tatak ng Pinoy. Ng OFW. Matibay. At may Angas. Astig ba. *kindat2*

Yan muna pansamantala.

Oh, speaking of John Lloyd, is it true?! *tsismis mode on*
