thoughtpic: Virgin is the best
Got a free sim from Virgin Media.
And what do I say about their cleverness and sense of humour?
Virgin is simply the best.
'Nuff said.

HomeSeek: Pekeng Chocnut, Pwede Na.
Doon, may Filipino store.
As in simpleng convenience store na kung saan Pinoy products ang mga nandun.
Ano mga binili ko?
Lucky Me Pancit Canton.
Century Tuna.
Sinigang Mix.
Insant Cup Mix.
at isang simpleng pirated version ng ChocNut.
Ang Choc-o-star.
Masatisfy lang ang taste buds.
O ha. Pwede na.

How hard is it to love someone who can't love you back?
it's like when you find yourself looking at a shooting star across the sky.
you marvel its beauty, you're amazed of its brilliance. you feel elated. you feel excited.
then you wish for something very special as you close your eyes.
when you open your eyes, it's already gone.
========
you were happy for a moment, but you knew, it hurts to see it go. plus knowing you don't know when it'll come back, yet you keep on waiting.
it's that painful. it's that hopeless.

Sunday Car Boot Sale Habit

It's quite saddening to see people sell their old/slightly used stuff for a bargain price.
Such as this 367 page, hard-bound book: "The Beatles Anthology".
The selling price is tagged at 35 GBP.
The guy is selling it at around 5 GBP.
I used my Pinoy skill of "tawaran."
He gave it to me for 3 Pounds.
Not bad.
I helped the man get rid of his stuff for a fee;
He helped me get this priceless treasure for almost nothing.
I get by with a little help from my "friends."

Meet my BattleHopper
I love my newly bought "old" bike.
Bought it at a car boot sale last week (their version of an organized mass garage sale, aka ukayukay) for only 35 GBP, roughly around <2500 pesos.
Not bad, given its quality and good condition.
I cannot remember the exact time I had my own bike. I was around 12 years old then, I think. I remember my red BMX bike, a hand-me-down from my Kuya Jason. I loved it. And had many fond memories of it. (Plus the countless scars, wounds, and other stupidity I did with my red BMX. But it was still fun! Daredevil stuff is hardcore for a pre-teenager kid like me, hehe)
Unfortunately, I woke up the next day to not see it in its usual place in the garage. Silly me, I forgot to lock the chains, and then it went *poof!*, Mr. AkyatBahayGangMember had one on me. No, I didn't cry. But I was heartbroken. I envy my playmates with their bikes.
All I did after that was "angkas" on their bikes.
===========
So now whenever I ride my "BattleHopper", inspired by the Japanese Hero Series "Mask Rider Black", I feel like I'm a kid again. I feel reborn.
As I pedal myself and feel the cool wind of Harlow in my face, smoothly gliding under the sun, I feel renewed and ecstatic at some point. There's the freedom, it simulates flying, and I know that I AM in control.
Yes, shallow as it may seem. But with homesickness just a knock away, remember that whenever I ride BattleHopper, you'd be seeing Reigun, the vengeful 12 year old adventurer telling Mr. AkyatBahayGang Member :
" I got a better bike than you, belat!!!"
