Gabi. Sa isang PANAGINIP ko habang paputol-putol ang tulog ko.
Naglalakad daw ako sa isang highway. May mga kasama ako. Nang biglang me humarang na mama sa amin. May PATALIM. Tinutukan nya ang kasama ko sa kanan ko. Natigilan kami. Walang gumagalaw. Nang biglang may nasabi ako at iginalaw na hindi ikinagusto ng mama. Umabante siya at akmang sasaksakin ako na parang hihiwain mula dibdib pababa sa tiyan. Umiwas ako nang umatras ako ng isang hakbang.
Pagtingin ko, may dugo ako sa damit ko. At nagising na ako.....
November 20, 2007. 5th monthsary namin ni tolski. 2nd day ko sa Neurology ward, first time ko hahawak ng patients. Medyo na late ako ng gising dahil sa masamang tulog at panaginip ko.
Nakasakay ako sa jeep. Medyo madilim pa ng mga 4:45 AM, pero marami na rin ang nakasakay sa jeep.
Nakasakay ako sa harap, katabi ng driver. Wala akong katabi.
Sa may Espana, ilang kanto mula sa UST, sa me V. G. Cruz street, o yung me Trabajo market, nakahinto ang jeep. MAy sumakay na dalawang lalake.
Ang isa, umupo malapit sa may labasan. Ang isa, sa may bandang likuran ko, magkabilang dulo sila kahit na sabay sila sumakay.
Pagalagpas ng jeep ng kalsada, may pumara na lalake ulit. Sumakay sa harap, katabi ko.
Naglaro ang utak ko. Pano kung magkakakilala silang tatlo at holdaper pala. Pero ang iniisip ko ng mga panahong iyon ay ang duty ko at sana ay di ako malate!
Dumating na ng Forbes, sa may gate ng Engineering ako bababa.
Ako: Ma, para.
KATABI Ko: AKINA CELFON MO!
Ako: Ho? E bababa na ako eh.

eh ano na?
badtrip kahapon dahil natalo na naman ang Cleveland Cavaliers sa Orlando Magic sa overtime. ang masakit pa dito bukod pa sa 3-1 na sila Superman, ay nagkalat ang Cavs King sa overtime dahil sa kanyang mga turnovers. Ang dami niyang pangit na pasa na nagdulot sa pagpuntos ng Orlando. more or less ay 96% ng mga teams na may 3-1 advantage ay nanalo sa kanilang serye. Sasali ba sa 4% ang Cavs? Kaya mo pa ba LeBron?
Malupit talaga ang defense ng Magic. Pero mas malupit si Dwight. Di talaga kaya ng depensa ng Cavs. Ang Cavs naman, di kaya pag di gagawa si LeBron. Hirap at pagod talaga ang puntusan ng Cavs. Samantalang halatang dinadaga ang mga kakampi ni James, lalo na si Mo, na sinabi na talagang hirap siya lalo na pag nacollapse ang depensa sa kanya.
Mukhang di matutuloy ang pagtatagpo ni LBJ at Kobe ah...hmm..
Punta naman tayo sa West Finals, kanikanila lang ay natalo ang Denver Nuggets sa homecourt ng Lakers. sayang dahil maganda ang unang 3 quarters at talagang walang makalayo sa kanilang dalawa. Pero pagdating ng 4th, Lakers na ang bumanat. Mas exciting ang series na to kesa sa East. At sana ay umabot ng Game 7 para mas dramatic and finish. Pero para sa akin, kahit sino manalo sa dalawang team, ay talagang deserving makapasok. Talagang pukpukan ang bawat game nila, masarap panuorin.
Pero sana Nuggets ang manalo. Big credit to Billups at sa awakening ng laro ni Melo. Sawa na ako makita ang Lakers. Maiba-iba naman ika nga.

Magic Vs. Cavs
The Eastern Conference Finals will be more physical, faster, younger, and more fun to watch.
MVP LeBron James was here around 2 years ago, but with a very different team. Orlando's last trip was way back in 1996. So how hungry these 2 teams are? Very hungry indeed.
Olympians James and Dwight Howard, both in the All-NBA 1st team, are quite the same in certain aspects of their game: Quick, young, strong, monsterous, dominating.
But what sets them apart from other all-star players, both teams have great benches and teammates. (Yes, just like what you may be thinking right now, Kobe's Lakers.)
Back to the East, Cavs dominated Pistons and the Hawks and have to lose yet a Playoff Game. But I think they will taste some of it versus Superman's team.
The Magic are known for defense, and their 3-point shooting.
The Cavs is LeBron. Enough said.
Let's take a look at certain match-ups that we may see in the series:
D. West v R. Alston
This will be a good match-up to watch. Both PG's are quick and have a decent shooting range. But Alston is the streakier guard that the Magic can rely on to make bail-out shots. West is better at defense, and can penetrate better than Alston with his size and built.
M. Williams/Wally S. v J. Redick/C. Lee
Mo Will is an All-Star. He is Robin to LeBron's Batman. He's the other big gun, thus, he shoots a lot. Though he is a defensive nightmare, he lacks defense mainly because of his size. For the Magic, depending on who they will start, both SG's have great range, especially Redick. But I'd like to see Lee to cover Mo most of the time, because JJ might eat dust versus the veterans Mo/Wally.
L. James v H. Turkoglu/Lewis
Now, we don't need to mention what KLeBron can do. It is interesting to see which players they're going to use to defend LeBron. We will see more than 1 coverage versus LeBron. We will see switches, he may have Rashard, Hedo, or maybe even smaller players at times like Lee if in trouble.
A. Varejao/B. Wallace v R. Lewis/Turkoglu
It will be the Cavs who will have the upperhand on the 4 position when it comes to the paint and probably rebounds. But the Magic don't have to worry, because they have Superman guarding the paint. The Magic's advantage relies on their outside shooting which the Cavs' PF's don't have. The Cavs will have to extend their defense thus providing single coverage most of the time.
Z. Ilgauskas v D. Howard
Superman is in the house. But he hasn't faced a bigger matchup than Z. At 7'3", that will be a lot of height at weight for Dwight to work around, thus exepending more energy. But Z is old and slow, Dwight can take advantage of that. The problem is, Z has a good range. If the Cavs made plays of Z taking the spot outside the paint and makes shots, that's trouble for the Magic.
This will be an exciting matchup. Probably better than Cavs v Celtics, where LeBron will meet a KG-less, old, tired team.
I will disregard the fact that the Magic has won 8 of thier last 11 meetings. And the fact that the Magic didn't win at the Q this season.
I can see LeBron attacking the paint more aggressively so he can challenge Dwight, and probably kick out to open shooters if he atrracts a double team.
Dwight will be having more single coverages because veterans Z and Ben Wallace might do the job early on, if not for foul troubles. So it will be up to the shooters to make their shots to create more space for Dwight.
I can see the Cavs dropping at least a game at home.
So I guess this series will end in 6, with MVP back in the finals.

mtv movie awards 2009
This year's MTV Movie Awards is going to be really interesting.
Award-winning film versus Cult-like fame?
It can only happen in the MTV Movie Awards. Where the slumdogs of Slumdog Millionaire battles with the vampires of Twilight, and tussles with the Dark Knight, Iron Man, and the teens of High School Musical 3:Senior Year for the category Best Movie.
Leading with seven nominations,Twilight got nods for Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Kirsten Stewart) and Breakthrough Performance Male (Robert Pattinson).
Garnering six nominations, Slumdog Millionaire has on its belt the Best Movie, Breakthrough Performance Female (Freida Pinto) and Breakthrough Performance Male (Dev Patel.)
This time, fans chose their favorites to be nominated in different categories.
Personally, for the over-all aspect, I'd choose Slumdog to win. If the geeks may have their way and use the force, it will be a tight contest between Iron Man and Dark Knight, but I think the Joker can win it for Batman. HSM3 is a bit tiring now for the tweens, so I think they will all jump over to the Twilight bandwagon.
So, I guess this time, the vampire Cullens will lord it over the Jai Ho club. Let's wait and see.

the weird taxi driver
kagabi, past 11pm na ako nakapag timeout mula sa nakakapagod na duty sa ospital.
at dahil gabi na, nagpasya akong i-skip ang date with manong jeepney driver, at mag taxi na lang pauwi.
(hindi dahil prone ako sa holdap, hindi ako takot marape ng bading..umm, ok takot ako dun, pero di dahil takot ako masaksak ng adik at mapagtripan ng lasing..pero sa dahilang antok na antok na ako baka lumagpas na naman ako sa byahe paguwi)
so pagsakay ko, eto na ang weird taxi driver
driver: bakit ngayon ka lang?ginabi ka ah
reigun: ho? kakatapos lang e(*utak ni reigun*:holdaper ba to? stalker ba to?bading na adik?close tayo?gf kita?)
driver:dyan ka ba nagduduty? nurse ka diba?regular ka ba?
reigun: (*utak ni reigun*:pag sinabi ko regular ako, ibig sabihin me pera ako. pag sinabi ko student ko, antanda ko na, shet!) umm, di po, trainee lang ho.
driver: ah talaga. pero buti nurse ka. maganda yan, makakapagabroad ka.
reigun:(*utak ni reigun*: wtf?! talk show ba to? si michael v ka ba?!) sana nga ho. pero mahirap ho maghanap ng trabaho ngayon, maski dito sa pilipinas.
driver: oo tama ka dyan. kala ng mga magulang madali lang, pag nakagraduate, tapos na gastos, pero tignan mo ikaw, parang ganun pa rin, (laughs)

pero pag me nasakyan kayo na kuya bodjie ng batibot kung magkwento, at parang charo santos kung mag advice sa buhay. yun na!
at dahil gabi na, nagpasya akong i-skip ang date with manong jeepney driver, at mag taxi na lang pauwi.

gaze at: star trek
I am officially NOT a fan of Star Trek. Whenever I catch the "oldschool" series in TV from way back, I just roll up my eyes and say to myself: Star Trek, eat Jedi dust.
Until today.
Today is the day that I finally watched Star Trek, yes, not your old uncle's Star Trek, but the 2009 film version. And today is the day that I become a Star Trek fan.
J.J. Abrams, the film's director and producer, did a superb masterful job of reviving a seemingly lifeless franchise into a new exciting saga for the Ipod generation.
For skeptic fans who are planning to avoid this film for they were not sure who on earth, (err galaxy) Captain Kirk, Spock, and the rest of the Enterprise were, please, you're making a big mistake on skipping this one.
Even though I have a poor background on the Star Trek history, it's tolerable to watch. The story isn't too sci-fi for common people. If you ain't a geek, it's ok, don't worry cause you won't care if there's jargon or too many smarty lines on the film. The story and plot is good enough to keep you glued to your seats.
I'm not sure of hardcore Trek fans, but I've been hearing a lot of positive feedbacks on this already. And I can't blame them.
This film has emotion. Not too mixed up with physics this time around. I'm sure if there are plotholes, there aren't many of them.
This movie will definitely be a new fave sci-fi saga to anticipate in the future.
For you guys, watch the movie, so you can Live long and prosper.

gaze at: x-men origins:wolverine
ok, one of the most controversial film debut as far as my poor memory is concerned.
dont worry, walang spoiler dito!
Pero sino ba naman ang matutuwa kung may magleak ng film na di pa naipapalabas?
And worse, suuper dipa kumpleto ang film. with all the harness, and the blue screen without the special fx..aargh..i cant just imagine if i were in the place of any of the movie crew...
and so, it opened here on april 30, 2009.
so how did it fare?
i' d say, it's just ok, not bad, but not uber IRONMAN-like cool.
I'd say, it failed my expectations. I mean, the effects weren't as superb as the last xmen movie.
I'm not really a faithful follower of the wolverine saga, but as far as i know, and based on comic book films, some details were altered.
Agent zero aint asian. but i liked the way he played his character. though he had a lame death.
deadpool's character that was played by ryan reynolds is okay. actually, i loved his humor. but as the movie is about to end, im not quite sure on the way it unfolded.
hugh jackman did justice to the film. He played it good. If not perfect.
sabretooth too. He gave viewers a lotta reason to snarl and get mad at someone (aside from the special effects). He' s an effective character actor.
I guess the movie had it good in having the story unfold on how Logan became Wolverine.
so, i'd guess the verdict then is: it's a berserker barrage!!!
