Morning After Night
"A LIE TASTES BETTER THAN REALITY"
Diary Log: Wednesday early morning. 5:45 A.M.
I drove home alone, in the dark and early morning. Everybody was asleep.It was an ordinary work day. or so it was. I just came off from an expensive dinner in a posh hotel. and I was with the man of my fantasies, my dreams. He has cute, crinkled eyes, a strong jaw, smooth big hands. He was tall with big and broad shoulders, great body built as well.
A man in tinsel town every woman would be chasing off all day. Nice looks, with and outstanding personality. And the wit and humor, amazing at his young age. Boyish but naughty just right. yes, sex appeal.
I could still recall the signals he gave. Was it him, or was it me that I misunderstood? It doesn’t matter anymore. His mischievous smile, so mysterious and sexy.
We had a toast of fine wine. I didn’t care much about the food. For he was staring at me all night. Our hands are inches apart laid on the table, and we were facing each other. I was just waiting for him to grab mine.
Then, he rubbed his hands, not on my hands, but traced them on my hair and whispered something.
"follow me.."
I was dazed. I couldn’t say anything. I know it’s not right. The night is still young, very young..but I am not.
My dress, splashed in blooming red color, seems to show the blood rush Iv’e felt at that time.
"where shall we go?" I dared not to ask.
But my footsteps, I found them alongside his. and we walk a half-step quicker. He stared left, right as we were inside the elevator, and the door was shut. Finally.
My heart thumped. Hard. My veins in my neck, theyre abnout to pop. QUick I said to myself. Why do I get these thoughts, I have no idea. But before I answered my own question, he locked his lips with mine. Hard. And long. He grabbed me. I felt my heart pounded so hard it would’ve knocked myself out.
was it the wine?
I didn’t know what happened next. or, maybe, I don’t want to remember…words won’t give justice to what iI’ve felt at that time. So good.
Now it’s almost sunrise. I just got home in time. I’m just inches away from Robert. He’s too drunk to notice. I just hate it whenever he snores and at the same time look at his beer belly…the horror/

I had an unusual night. This lady was staring at me all throughout the night. Those eyes, so seductive. Tempting galnces. I was really so into her. Those small lips I just wish I could just kiss hard. That would be really heaven, or sweet paradise.
The dinner,was so good. And they had great wine, just the way I like it. But she made the night captivating. At that moment, she was my night. And soon, became my prey. It was a crazy, or maybe wild night.
She just won’t stop, the more it makes me wish it won’t ever end.
Then, she left.
After I woke up, there was a note on the table. it has her number i believe. And the word "thanks". I found no name.
I left the place before noon. All i could remember was I had a good one with somebody in a lovely dress at that hotel.
I left with all my valuables in hand. made it just in time for my flight.
I think I left the note in the hotel room.

cold ice cream at my hand.
you can see the cool breeze roll-out from the icy caps that swell over the tasty crunchy cone.
seconds.tick.minutes.tock.hours.tick.
they pass slowly, urging you to be impatient.
it keeps on reminding you that slowly and surely, time is wasted.
delivered you from boredom, you bite slowly, piece by piece, wishing it wont melt any time sooner.
you wait.
still. you flip through the pages of your book in a 24/7 convenience store. people come and go.
they leave nothing but noises, footprints and clutter all over.
few came to chat. some joined together to meet. to mingle. to satisfy hunger and thirst.
none cared less.
the sunrays in the afternoon is a hot burning kiss you don't want.
you’ll feel the heat even more outside that damn swinging door.
the ice cream melts. this time, faster.
you wait.still, ultra slow-mo.
clueless on what's bound to happen.
kill time.
flip the pages, then you’ll be flipped any time soon.
no clue. you clench your fist against the gut.
painful. all you have right now is a melted ice cream in one hand.
on the other hand, none.
time clicks. all you can do, is wait.
alone.

Superman Says:"DEFENSE!"The 23-year-old Howard became the youngest player to win the NBA's defensive player of the year award Tuesday. Howard was only the fifth player to lead the league in blocks and rebounds in the same season, a goal he set in training camp.
Howard averaged 13.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game this season, his fifth in the league.
The only other players to be rebounding and blocks champions in the regular season were Bill Walton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon and Ben Wallace. Blocks were not kept as an official statistic until 1973.

Teen Ricky to NBASpanish teenager Ricky Rubio has decided to enter the NBA draft.
The 18-year-old Rubio, who was under contract with Spanish club DKV Joventut through 2011, has been rated as one of the top picks for the June 25 draft.
Rubio, who was a member of Spain's silver medal-winning team at the Beijing Olympics last summer, can still withdraw up to 10 days before the draft at Madison Square Garden.
Rubio believes that the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards appear to be frontrunners.
Rubio has averaged 9.9 points and 5.7 assists this season for Joventut. The 6-foot-2 point guard turns 19 in October, meeting the NBA's minimum age requirement.

The press boys told Jong during the post Ginebra-Rain or Shine game interview that Burger King’s Cyrus Baguio and Homer Se had just been acquired by his team, in exchange for future draft rights.
Jong said that was the only time he heard of the good news, although he knew that negotiations for Baguio were initiated as early as last December.

gaze at: marley & me
Nung una ko nakita sa previews and movie na to, starring Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, and a cute Labrador, sabi ko papanuorin ko ito. At una kong nasa isip ay isa itong romantic-comedy.
Di ko inakala na based pala ito sa tunay na buhay ni John Grogan, isang newspaper columnist, na naisa-libro bandang 2005 at naging movie last year.
Di ko rin inakala na ang tawang ineexpect ko ay naging luha.
Oo, luha. Dramedy ito. Hindi ko ikkwento ang buong story dito, dahil maganda itong movie.
Sabi ko nga kay tolski, hindi ito heartwarming, ito ay heartmelting.
I hate to admit but I was teary-eyed in the end.
Ang movie na hango mula sa tunay na buhay, na nagpapakita ng saya, ng hirap, ng sakit, ng hirap, ng pait, ng tamis. Iba't-ibang emosyon at mukha ng buhay ng isang pamilya, talagang makakakita ka ng sarili mo rito sa movie na to.
Ang asong sinabihan na "the world's worst dog" dahil sa kanyang uncontrollable, untrainable na behavior, na talagang tila hindi na talaga siya aso lang sa pagka-pasaway, na sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, andun pa rin ang saya at pagmamahal na mararamdaman mo.
In life, you can always complain and be angry and frustrated most of the time, but in the end, the most cherished things are the seemingly insignificant times you've spent with your loved ones.

My friends at work are hooked on airsoft. For me, airsoft is a fun game for the big boys (and girls), where they can play using pseudo-guns and ammos, complete with gear and all. This is a fun game, but it can seriously hurt, so gamers must be smart and responsible as well. I bought an M4 carbine assault gun. And after testing it, I can say that I can't wait to get in the game and release the beast inside! *just kidding* haha. ULTRA NEWBIE here okay?! XD

Isang araw, nagsumbong sa akin ang girlfriend kong si tolski. Sabi niya, may gunggong na nagmessage sa kanya sa friendster na di niya kilala at ipapabasa niya sa akin ito pag nagkita kami.

gaze at: slumdog millionaire
Sana may "who wants to be a millionaire?" ulit!
Ang binatang Indian na si Jamal na lumaki sa hirap sa siyudad ng Mumbai (or Bombay?), ay napasali sa isang game show na "Who wants to be a millionaire?" . Ang lalakeng walang natapos sa pagaaral, nagtatrabahong katulong sa isang call center, at lumaki sa mahirap na sitwasyon ay isang tanong na lang mula sa jackpot.
Papaano niya nagagawang makasagot ng tama?
a.) Genius siya.
b.) Nandaya siya.
c.) Nakatsamba lang.
d.) Magaling gumamit ng lifeline.
Astig na movie!
Anlupet ng cinematography pati neto. Well, kung sa awards rin lang, eh the academy got it right this time. Kung may award na best cast, slumdog pa rin. Revelation ang mga batang Indian dito. Halos documentary ang epekto ng pelikulang na direk ni Danny Boyle. Bukod pa sa plot na poor-kid-gets-rich-fast, ito ay nakasentro sa isang pambihirang love story.
Maganda ang mga elemento ng iba-tibang paksa tulad ng poverty, corruption, greed, crime at iba pang mga relevant na mga paksa na pang-social at moral ang aspeto.
Hindi nalalayo ang setting ng India sa ibang parte ng Pilipinas. Sa kabila ng maraming naghihirap na mga tao, andun pa rin ang krimen at korupsyon na hindi mawawala. Pero sa kabila ng lahat ng mga paghihirap, andun pa rin ang pag-asa para sa pagginhawa sa buhay, at syempre,ang pag-abot sa ultimate happiness ng isang tao.
Parang mga pinoy lang na tumataya sa lotto!?
Mahusay na feel-good movie. If you think Oscar-winning films are boring at tipong pang intellectual at lalangawin lamang, well, think again.
This movie delivered superbly.
Fyi, the theme song titled "jai ho" roughly means "may there be victory". or something like it. Very well describes the movies theme.

my Firsts
1. Who was your FIRST prom date?
If by prom date means a girl, none! Just me and the boys.(bill, nelson, victor, paul, etc.) i was just too dorky when i was a Junior, and i was dorkier and in a state of punch-drunk love to ask the girl when i was a senior.
2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
umm, i dont think so. (see, im still a dork!)
3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
i think everybody went through san mig first. hehe. but i remember downing Cali when i was in grade school. practice kumbaga.
4. What was your FIRST job?
A Customer Service Rep. in Convergys. Cool stuff huh.
5. What was your FIRST car?
well, i've got plenty of vintage toy cars when i was a kid.
6. Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
tolski, before goin to work.
7. Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning?
tolski, wonderin if she's already at work.
8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
wow. darn san mig-induced amnesia huh. i remember ms. villarete our advisor. but i can't forget our principal Mrs. Martin. she's cool and hip!
9. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
umm, how bout the First time i waved to a passing plane? when i was a baby! wuhoo!
10. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
i regard Mr. Donald Kwan as my first best friend. (naks, ang formal ha.) well, we rarely talk, but we do get in touch from time to time thanks to Frie..well, Facebook na. hehe!
11. Where was your FIRST sleep over?
We used to have sleep overs at the cemetery every undas. But First time without the family was when i was a Boy scout and we had this camping on our school grounds. yes. i was a boy scout. 'nuff said.
12. Who was the FIRST person you talked to today?
Manong jeepney driver. and i said, :"Bayad po."
13. Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time?
man. i can't remember which...i was a fave abay when i was a kid. (naks) and now it's no wonder when i grew up, no one wants me anymore as their ring bearer (sniff). :/
14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
i woke up.
15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
There was this school fair when i was about grade 2 i think, and it was so cool they brought Susy and Geno! Man, they can really dance!
umm, ok, aside from mascots and puppets, i think it was rivermaya back in the 90's. it was free. hehe/
16. What was the FIRST record/tape/CD you bought?
I guess it was either the Metallica tape, or Eheads' Natin99.
17. FIRST hospitalization
when i was in grade4, i was too sick,my pedia referred me to San Lazaro, they thought i had dengue. Thank God it was negative. I was the one who bit the mosquito. harhar.
18. FIRST foreign country you've been to?
Marlboro country
19. FIRST movie you remember seeing?
ive seen a lot of betamax movies, like the Bible story, the one with Adam and Eve, etc...hehe.
But I can't forget seeing Forrest Gump in the theaters with the whole family. nice choice of film!
20. When was your FIRST detention?
It wasn't really a detention for me. But during Grade School, we were having our P.E., wherein we were running around, and this chubby girl classmate of mine smashed her two front teeth into my right eyebrow. well, her teeth were intact, but i bled profusely. (think of a bleeding boxer with a deep cut).
so, we were there in the guidance counselor's office to clear things up. im ok with it, but i was sorry to see her crying. (hey, i was the one who got home bandaged!) hehe.

isang gabi,sa Makati...

in the house? i was with my Ate first.

i was so friggin hungry, after i withdrew the money, i headed to the nearest Mcdo and ordered a Double Cheeseburger Meal, everythin large. and it was good.

growing up with music
I simply love music.
And for those people who don't enjoy music? I think they're living a boring life, aren't they? XD
Before, at an early age, I started listening with rock music alone, such as alternative, heavy metal, glam, electronica, reggae, etc. , probably due to my older brothers' influences: I get to hear whatever they wanted to listen to.
And then I've learned to embrace and widen my musical perspective as I began to explore and enjoy other types of music such as Pop, Hip-hop, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Bossa, etc.
People might assume that if you have no single musical influence, you are the type that just goes with the current trend. And if you have just a typical music preference, you are too shallow, or too chicken to admit that you do enjoy other types of music too.
I'd rather be a person who loves music. Period.
As I grow older, I believe that as we mature, it also means that we have a wider perspective of outlook in life. And yes, it can also be reflected in one's preferences, such as music. And with that, I would like to have a bit of a tour to the not so distant past.
So, before the dawn of the iPod, the mp3, the bluetootth sharing, donwloads, cd burns, way back in the mid-90's, I lived and experienced music through cassette tapes! (either my brothers', or mine through my measly savings)
Here are some of my early foreign influences, (started around when i was more or else 8 years old):

Obviously, my older brother bought this. (He purchased both Part I and Part II. Though not as good as the first one, I personally believe they were one of the last glam/classic 90's rock band, with the musical style, typical guitar riffs, long hair, the high-pitched vocals (though it later on evolved as "emo", i think. haha) Axl Rose and Slash were my early "ideas" for icons of rock. Thank God I needn't all the hair to be a rock fan.
Queen
Another "Bro's pamana" to me. Official Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers. This band is good. Or, gooder than most? XD This Brit group gave the world "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Another One Bites The Dust", "Under Pressure", and of course, the championship song, "We Are The Champions."
If only Freddie Mercury is still alive, and to rephrase a cliche, rocking.
Metallica
My first purchased cassette tape. The Lords of Metal Rock. Metallica surely defined what rock is about: fast, loud, angry, angst-filled, yet tender with melody. This quartet of James Hetfield (vocals, guitar); Kirk Hammett (guitar); Jason Newsted (bass); Lars Ulrich (drums) continues to reinvent the rock scene. And to prove that, they played alongside a full symphony orchestra! This album is a continuation of the earlier album, "Load", for the production time was so fruitful, they had to come up with another album. This album has "the Memory Remains", and "Fuel", which was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance.

One of my favorite albums of all time. Fat of the Land was nominated for a 1998 Grammy for Best Rock Album. Who hasn't heard of a prodigy track? Their music is a favorite in some major action films in Hollywood. And it can't be helped. With their sick beats and impressive sounds, I can say Prodigy's musicality was at least 10 years advanced in terms of their genre and uniqueness. This is Hip-hop+electronica+rock all rolled into one. "Diesel Power" and "Smack my Bitch Up" are some of the album cuts.Purchased after starving myself to save up money way back in elementary.
Oasis
The ex-next Beatles? That's a debate. But nonetheless, Oasis have proven themselves that they can be Kings of Rock. No matter how dysfunctional the Gallagher brothers are, they seem to made great music despite being known as big air-heads. Anyway, back to their music, "All around the world" is one of the better-known songs in this album.
Liam is a good vocalist for a band that seems to live more on the rumor sheets more than rocking music. But still, one of the best Brit rock groups ever.
And for those people who don't enjoy music? I think they're living a boring life, aren't they? XD
Before, at an early age, I started listening with rock music alone, such as alternative, heavy metal, glam, electronica, reggae, etc. , probably due to my older brothers' influences: I get to hear whatever they wanted to listen to.

People might assume that if you have no single musical influence, you are the type that just goes with the current trend. And if you have just a typical music preference, you are too shallow, or too chicken to admit that you do enjoy other types of music too.
I'd rather be a person who loves music. Period.

sandara park:pop star!
Sandara Park, a former actress in the Philippines, went back to her homeland in Korea after her so-called "15 minutes of fame" here, and debuts as one of the members of the Kpop group 2NE1. Their current single "Lollipop", a collaboration with boy group Big Bang, has gone on to secure number one spots on numerous online music charts and has enjoyed great success so far. Sandara may not be that popular yet on Korea, but her Filipino fans, who gave her great support when she was starting, will surely be happy for her, once more. ^_^

i was a drug pusher for 5 minutes
isn't it quite annoying sometimes when you're quite busy at something, then your mobile phone rings unexpectedly? and when you try to take a second off from your whatever, you see an unregistered number, so you either choose to answer a.s.a.p. for it may be an emergency, or just cancel it and try to get back to it later to give it some time.
and since i was currently on hospital duty at that time, feeding an elderly sick patient, i just cancelled it. my phone didn't ring again, so i guess it wasn't an emergency call.
and when i was on break, i tried to contact the mysterious caller thru SMS.
i started with the classic:

*great, another texter that loves to say "koH", "qoH". whats with the H?!and the "u b"? what?!
so instead of ignoring, i chose to be good and bad. good because i will reply to her, and bad because it is...

*actually, iom not sure on "nym". is it "name"? i dont care.

NBA: Who's the MVP?
The NBA regular season is almost over. Teams are still jockeyeing for position. But the question aside from who'll be Champs this year is, who's the MVP? 3 names have come up with most NBA fans. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, And Dwyane Wade. Some might even include Chris Paul and Dwight Howard, but they're not close to the top 3 players in the NBA today. Let's take a look.
The Flash
Nice suit Mr. Wade. The Flash boasts some great numbers, and impressed everyone despite of a sub-par playoff team roster, he managed to push his team to #4 in the East with a decent 42-38 record.
His numbers are quite good too:

RPG 5.00
APG 7.5
The Black Mamba
KB24, arguably the best player of his generation, both offensive and defensive, he's really an assassin. They lead the West, and is currently chasing Cleveland for the top record with 63-17. He's known for clutch plays. And he's also known not to be a winner minus Shaq. He was last year's MVP, can he be MVp times 2? He's proven himself individually already. And the question for most people is, will he be a champ minus Shaq?

The King
Some call it hype, some call it freak of nature, and fans call him "King". Not bad if you boast team records in a single season, despite the injuries of his teammates, they were somehow consistent to become the top East team, and maybe in the whole league at record of 65-15. It ain't Boston, it ain't Dwight's Magic, but James' Cavs is the Beast in the East.
Stats:
PPG 28.3
RPG 7.60
APG 7.3
Personally, if you are the MVP, you must be at least in the top 4 teams in the NBA. Because being an MVP is about winning games, not just being a monster on stats.
So that drops The Flash out of the race. Still, an impressive season for the Heat.
Now, being an MVP means that aside from being the team leader, you can also make your teammates better.
That's a toss-up between James and Bryant.
Both teams have a great lineup. But on paper, The Lakers team is better over-all. Kobe has Pau, Bynum and Odom at his side. And a very effective and experienced bench.
Though LeBron has Mo and Z, their bench can't quite size up with the Laker team.
Now, if you're an MVP, you can step it up any time when there is a distress call.
For Kobe, the team was hit hardest when Bynum was injured. They still won games, and still became consistent. And now he's back, they're scarier.
For James, they have an array of injuries this season. From Big Ben, Z, Andy, Delonte, and others, they missed significant number of games in total. This made the defense concentrate more on James for the lack of options, but the team still had the best home record this season.
Now, add it all up, plus the fact that Kobe has won it already last year, I'm sorry Kobe fans, but I think, and probably, LeBron will go with the MVP trophy.
NEXT: Playoff matchups and scenario.

I personally love both music and gaming.
So whenever I come across games such as Guitar Hero or even the Rock Legends application in Facebook, I really enjoy them and take advantage of whenever I can to pretend that I'm like a real rockstar! hehe.
And then through an online buddy, I discovered this new and cool game online: Jam Legend!
So for those who have experienced playing Guitar Hero, it's pretty much like it, only it is played online wherein you just have to register with an email add, and the music selections are mostly independent artists, which is a plus for me.
Jam Legend is still in beta mode, and they vowed to increase their playlist so players can play almost every song possible, cool!
For those who aren't familiar with Guitar Hero, remember the old game "Dance Dance Revolution"? It's almost the same in concept.
You push the key that lines up with each note when the note reaches the bottom of the screen. What are the buttons? For newbies, it's the number keys 1,2, 3. For advanced users, more keys will be added.
You can choose just plain tapping the number keys, or "Strumming", where you tap the numbers, plus hitting the enter key, much like a guitar.
Do I still sound gibberish and confusing? Don't fret, there is an easy tutorial there. ;)
You can invite your friends, as you earn more points for each invite, or you can duke it out with other players,
The songs on the playlist are mostly independently produced, and if you crave for new songs, then the fun and experience will be doubled!
This site also is a good platform for independent artists for more exposure and spread their music to the world.

reigun: (wide eyes!) ah, i see. so, pano kayo naghiwalay at naging depressed ka ng husto?

sss: eh kasi po bigla na lang po siyang hindi na nagtext agad pagkabreak namin.sabi ko kasi burahin na nya number ko sa phone nya, ginawa nga nya! eh dapat kahit papano may communication pa rin di ba? nalungkot ako..(reigun's jaw almost dropped)..tapos, nung kuhaan na namin nung class cards sa university neto lang, nakita ko siya, tapos di niya ako pinapansin. ang malupit pa, kasama niya yung pinaka hate kong girl. eh parang super close na sila agad, eh di naman sila ganun dati. kaya parang lalong nagalit ako tapos nalungkot ako na ganun kabilis nya ako palitan.
reigun: ahh...ok...(nawindang)..so, after nung incident sa school, anu na nangyari sa yo?
sss: ayun po, pagkauwi ko, parati na lang akong iritable. galit talaga ako. sinaktan ko kapatid ko. tinawag kong bakla tatay ko. nasigawan ko nanay ko. tapos pag nagbabanyo yung lola ko, pinapatayan ko ng ilaw. tapos yung mga kapitbahay inaaway ko talaga. tapos minsan sa kusina, sa galit ko, muntik ko na saksakin tatay ko, pero napigilan ako ng mga pinsan ko. grabe talaga, nahihiya ako pag naaalala ko.

It's a great sunday for me, a day after a family celebration, started the day with a blessed mass, then relaxing and enjoying the day in front of my computer, with music, videos, and waltzing the hours away with interesting people whom i hardly know in plurk. ;)

then, there's this one topic that is identical with what's on my mind lately.

Of course, that is non-debatable. Who would ever think that bunnies are directly linked to Jesus? I mean, definitely He'll be a great pet lover, but it doesn't seem right to associate bunnies to Easter in the first place. I'm not an avid Bible reader, but I guess they're not mentioned there.
And don't forget the eggs.
Well, eggs can be associated with life, birth, such as the Easter idea that Jesus had been reborn, the start of His life after death.
And I remember reading somewhere before that it originally came from a pagan group, adapted by the Christians in order to have them converted into Christianity, which was ages ago.
But then, I want to know more, so I switched to my *geek-mode* face, (which is a rarity for me), I did a mini-research on the origins of Easter celebration.

I read with a sinking stomach that Telecom, in their infinite wisdom, are moving 250 call centre jobs to Manila which will bring their number of call centre people there to 700.
Must be a money saver...why pay Kiwis a half decent wage when you can get the job done more cheaply elsewhere?

I've had a lot of problems with email, am on the phone to xtra at least once a week - and it drives me nuts.
It's bad enough that Telecom/xtra can fail in their service to us full stop, and it's even worse if that failure is not reflected in a reduced phone bill, but what's really infuriating is not being able to understand the person on the other end of the line who is supposed to be helping.
Filipinos learn American English and their accents are diabolically hard to understand. They are so heavy!
When I have to call them for help I am always stressed out (because my job is communication and I can't afford to be offline and incommunicado - that would mean blank pages in About Town!) so getting someone with a voice that a) is almost unintelligible and b) grates, really fires me up. It shouldn't I know. But it does. Their voices are not just impossible to understand, they are really annoying as well.
You know how some accents can be totally charming? Well, these are anything but!
They must be the least attractive accents in the world!
And because these people are as close as we get to the actual corporation I allow myself to fully vent my anger...
E.g. after getting someone to repeat something 6 times I will yell in frustration.
I am better with Indian call centres since I saw Slumdog Millionaire, and I can cope with Cairo, but Manila? I lose it!
Wouldn't it be nice if Kiwis could do these jobs instead of adding to the unemployment.
It's mental. It doesn't make sense and it makes me really really mad!!!!

hello jakarta: my brother's POV
(my older brother J is in jakarta, indonesia for at least 2 months now. He is not exactly an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) there, but like an expat, wherein the company he works for, a manning agency, *somehow forcefully* sends him over there to supervise their company branch in jakarta. and this is one of his detailed memoirs in jakarta regarding work, lifestyle, people, food, etc. )

dito ako opis today, pero holiday dito, bday ni prophet mohammad, pero di naman katumbas ng xmas na me mga selebrasyon or big thing sa mga tao..
me ibang xmas sila dito, kalimutan ko tawag nila at kung kelan..
ala lang magisa dito sa opis, kung me papasok sa mga locals dito, mamaya pa tanghali.
tanghali sila pumasok, tapos chismisan muna, tapos lunch ng matagal tapos chismisan ulit tapos uwi na... (*hmm, just like some government agencies and few local offices around here? LOL)
not to mention yung bagal nila....
dito dalawa lang ang speed, slow and slower...
mahilig sila sa mamaya na. at pumetiks.....(*sounds familiar..XD)
di pa kasama dun yung pagdadasal nila 5 times a day, so pagopis hours, 12nn, 4pm at 7pm...so yung dalawa 4am at 9am ata.
bale bawat isang prayer nila 30mins...(*wow)
bale 25 tao dito, sa operations lang yung. iba yung nagtuturo sa training school, me 8 staff dun, 3 dun pinoy.
dito sa operations 25, plus kame tatlong pinoy.
dun sa 25, 4 lang lalake, 2 messenger/l.o.. tapos yun 2 encoders/filing.
mahirap kasi tuturo mo sa kanila basic, paano magencode, imagine, meron sila system, d nila ginagamit, kame pa nagturo sa kanila.
kung paano magfile ng dox, pati yata kung paano gumamit ng stapler ituturo pa...hahahahaha...
puro bata sila, ave. age nila 23, me isa lang matanda late 30s na ata, pero kasi yung trusted na tao ng me ari...dating tauhan sa naluging textile co ng mayari for 10yrs. kinuha nila last oct at binigyan ng supervisory position.
pero isa yun sa sakit ng ulo ko....
ubod ng bagal, tapos ang nakakaniis pa dun, paglalapitan mo siya, kunwari sa umaga, yung expression ng mukha nya talagang lagi me problema...
kaya minsan, di ko na nilalapitan, nakakahawa....
dito matest talaga patience mo...
ewan ko ba, minsan paguuwi ako sa gabi galing opis, napapaisip ako bakit ko pa tinanggap tong work na to...
ok na dyan sa manila, ala ako sakit ng ulo sa work at comfortable...
kahit me dagdag na sweldo dito...ala pa din katumbas yung kasama mo family mo...
dito sa lunch lang ako me kasabay kumain, kasi omoorder ako ng packed lunch, kasabay ko ibang pinoy.
pero sa umaga at gabi, ako gagawa o hahanap ng lunch ko magisa. me kasama akong pinoy sa condo, kaso iba oras ko sa kanila, maaga sila natatapos, ako gabi na..yung isang pinay dito, pinapunta nya fiance nya dito last week pa...
dito alang visa kailangan pag asian, basta max ng 30 days lang.
ang decent meal dito, isang ulam, vegetable salad, fruits, kropek (oo, laging kasama yung kropek), cup of mineral water, 20 rupiah lang, bale 60petot lang sa atin...mura...
kaya kung gusto nyo bili kayo ng roundtrip ticket nyo, bakasyon kayo dito, ako na sa board ang lodging nyo...hehehehehe...
nga pala, di rin mawawala yung sambal, lahat me sambal, parang mang tomas o gravy nila yun.
pag di ka kumakain nun, di ka indonesiano.
ang bigmac meal nila dito, 39 rupiah, 80 petot dyan sa atin, pareho lang ng kung gaano kadame yung dyan sa atin...
kfc, buhay na buhay dito, kasi manok at me spicy sila na flavor, pero alang gravy, sambal gravy nila...ginagawang sabaw...
ang masarap dito, nasi goreng, fried rice nila, at mga gulay...
so maliban sa paghanda o pahanap ng food ko, (me lutuan nga pala kame dun, kaso ala ako time) ako din maglaba at plantsa....grabe hirap pala gawin nun, lalo na pagpagod na..balak ko nga bumili yung steam, ok ba yun, tutal libre naman ako ng kuryente, give me feedbacks please.
sa ngayon share ako sa isang malaking unit sa condo, kanya kanya rooms at bathroom, next week lipat na ako sa solo kong lugar.

kamusta!
dito ako opis today, pero holiday dito, bday ni prophet mohammad, pero di naman katumbas ng xmas na me mga selebrasyon or big thing sa mga tao..
me ibang xmas sila dito, kalimutan ko tawag nila at kung kelan..
ala lang magisa dito sa opis, kung me papasok sa mga locals dito, mamaya pa tanghali.
tanghali sila pumasok, tapos chismisan muna, tapos lunch ng matagal tapos chismisan ulit tapos uwi na... (*hmm, just like some government agencies and few local offices around here? LOL)
not to mention yung bagal nila....
dito dalawa lang ang speed, slow and slower...
mahilig sila sa mamaya na. at pumetiks.....(*sounds familiar..XD)
di pa kasama dun yung pagdadasal nila 5 times a day, so pagopis hours, 12nn, 4pm at 7pm...so yung dalawa 4am at 9am ata.
bale bawat isang prayer nila 30mins...(*wow)
bale 25 tao dito, sa operations lang yung. iba yung nagtuturo sa training school, me 8 staff dun, 3 dun pinoy.
dito sa operations 25, plus kame tatlong pinoy.
dun sa 25, 4 lang lalake, 2 messenger/l.o.. tapos yun 2 encoders/filing.
mahirap kasi tuturo mo sa kanila basic, paano magencode, imagine, meron sila system, d nila ginagamit, kame pa nagturo sa kanila.
kung paano magfile ng dox, pati yata kung paano gumamit ng stapler ituturo pa...hahahahaha...
puro bata sila, ave. age nila 23, me isa lang matanda late 30s na ata, pero kasi yung trusted na tao ng me ari...dating tauhan sa naluging textile co ng mayari for 10yrs. kinuha nila last oct at binigyan ng supervisory position.
pero isa yun sa sakit ng ulo ko....
ubod ng bagal, tapos ang nakakaniis pa dun, paglalapitan mo siya, kunwari sa umaga, yung expression ng mukha nya talagang lagi me problema...
kaya minsan, di ko na nilalapitan, nakakahawa....

ewan ko ba, minsan paguuwi ako sa gabi galing opis, napapaisip ako bakit ko pa tinanggap tong work na to...
ok na dyan sa manila, ala ako sakit ng ulo sa work at comfortable...
kahit me dagdag na sweldo dito...ala pa din katumbas yung kasama mo family mo...
dito sa lunch lang ako me kasabay kumain, kasi omoorder ako ng packed lunch, kasabay ko ibang pinoy.
pero sa umaga at gabi, ako gagawa o hahanap ng lunch ko magisa. me kasama akong pinoy sa condo, kaso iba oras ko sa kanila, maaga sila natatapos, ako gabi na..yung isang pinay dito, pinapunta nya fiance nya dito last week pa...
dito alang visa kailangan pag asian, basta max ng 30 days lang.
ang decent meal dito, isang ulam, vegetable salad, fruits, kropek (oo, laging kasama yung kropek), cup of mineral water, 20 rupiah lang, bale 60petot lang sa atin...mura...
kaya kung gusto nyo bili kayo ng roundtrip ticket nyo, bakasyon kayo dito, ako na sa board ang lodging nyo...hehehehehe...
nga pala, di rin mawawala yung sambal, lahat me sambal, parang mang tomas o gravy nila yun.
pag di ka kumakain nun, di ka indonesiano.
ang bigmac meal nila dito, 39 rupiah, 80 petot dyan sa atin, pareho lang ng kung gaano kadame yung dyan sa atin...
kfc, buhay na buhay dito, kasi manok at me spicy sila na flavor, pero alang gravy, sambal gravy nila...ginagawang sabaw...
ang masarap dito, nasi goreng, fried rice nila, at mga gulay...
so maliban sa paghanda o pahanap ng food ko, (me lutuan nga pala kame dun, kaso ala ako time) ako din maglaba at plantsa....grabe hirap pala gawin nun, lalo na pagpagod na..balak ko nga bumili yung steam, ok ba yun, tutal libre naman ako ng kuryente, give me feedbacks please.
sa ngayon share ako sa isang malaking unit sa condo, kanya kanya rooms at bathroom, next week lipat na ako sa solo kong lugar.
malls nila madame,(*like manila!)
lalo na dito sa lugar ko, kasi central eto e, parang makati, tabi tabi yung mga hi end na malls at mga specialty shops...
taxi ako lagi, yung blue bird ang tatak, parang r&e, kasi pag iba, kinokontrata nila, yung bluebird, sabihin ko kung saan ako papunta.
pagpauwi, me call card ako na sinulat ng local sa bahasa kung saan ako umuuwi.
bale pagsakay ko ng taxi, abot agad ako ng call card, minsan kala nung driver, discount card...hahahaha...
mula ke mima (*project8) hanggang sm north edsa....12rupiah lang....
mura gas dito, 20rupiah per liter,
dami motor dito, kasi sinosuportahan nila yung motor,
